Pr\u00e1v\u011b takov\u00fd byl sv\u011bt p\u0159ed Jamesem Wattem (30.1.1736 \u2013 25.8.1819). Tento skotsk\u00fd vyn\u00e1lezce nebyl \u017e\u00e1dn\u00fd \u201eg\u00e9nius od narozen\u00ed&#8220;, ale zv\u011bdav\u00fd \u010dlov\u011bk, kter\u00fd se neb\u00e1l zkou\u0161et nov\u00e9 v\u011bci a nikdy se nevzdal.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Narodil se ve skotsk\u00e9m Greenocku jako syn lodn\u00edho stavitele. U\u017e od mala byl trochu jin\u00fd \u2013 ve \u0161kole ho \u010dasto pova\u017eovali za \u201epomal\u00e9ho\u201c, proto\u017ee m\u00edsto biflov\u00e1n\u00ed si r\u00e1d kreslil do se\u0161it\u016f r\u016fzn\u00e9 stroje. Trp\u011bl \u010dast\u00fdmi bolestmi hlavy a rad\u011bji se u\u010dil doma, ne\u017e aby sed\u011bl v lavici.<\/p>\n<h2>Neobvykl\u00e9 d\u011btstv\u00ed budouc\u00edho vyn\u00e1lezce<\/h2>\n<p>James se narodil ve skotsk\u00e9m p\u0159\u00edstavu Greenock jako syn lodn\u00edho stavitele. U\u017e od mala byl jin\u00fd ne\u017e jeho spolu\u017e\u00e1ci. Ve \u0161kole ho \u010dasto pova\u017eovali za \u201epomal\u00e9ho&#8220;, proto\u017ee m\u00edsto u\u010den\u00ed si do se\u0161it\u016f kreslil r\u016fzn\u00e9 stroje a mechanismy. Trp\u011bl \u010dast\u00fdmi bolestmi hlavy a rad\u011bji se u\u010dil doma ne\u017e ve \u0161koln\u00edch lavic\u00edch.<br \/>\nRodi\u010de ho podporovali v tom, aby \u0161el vlastn\u00ed cestou. Jeho otec mu dokonce postavil malou d\u00edlnu, kde si mohl hr\u00e1t s n\u00e1stroji a experimentovat.<\/p>\n<h2>Cesta k mistrovstv\u00ed<\/h2>\n<p>Kdy\u017e se James rozhodl st\u00e1t se v\u00fdrobcem v\u011bdeck\u00fdch p\u0159\u00edstroj\u016f, \u010dekala ho nelehk\u00e1 cesta. Vydal se do Glasgow a pozd\u011bji do Lond\u00fdna, ale tehdej\u0161\u00ed cechy \u0159emesln\u00edk\u016f mu zpo\u010d\u00e1tku odm\u00edtaly d\u00e1t licenci \u2013 nebyl pr\u00fd \u201edost zku\u0161en\u00fd&#8220;. Nakonec mu pomohli profeso\u0159i z univerzity v Glasgow, kde se sp\u0159\u00e1telil s p\u0159edn\u00edmi v\u011bdci sv\u00e9 doby.<\/p>\n<p>Watt byl v\u00edc samouk ne\u017e klasick\u00fd student. U\u010dil se z knih a od lid\u00ed, kte\u0159\u00ed ho inspirovali. M\u011bli spolu \u0161est d\u011bt\u00ed, ale \u0161t\u011bst\u00ed netrvalo dlouho \u2013 Margaret zem\u0159ela po dev\u00edti letech man\u017eelstv\u00ed. James j\u00ed z\u016fstal v\u011brn\u00fd a\u017e do konce \u017eivota a u\u017e se nikdy neo\u017eenil.<\/p>\n<h2>Revolu\u010dn\u00ed objevy, kter\u00e9 zm\u011bnily sv\u011bt<\/h2>\n<h3>Parn\u00ed stroj, kter\u00fd v\u0161echno zm\u011bnil<\/h3>\n<p>Ve sv\u00fdch 27 letech se Wattovi dostal do rukou model Newcomenova parn\u00edho stroje, kter\u00fd ale pracoval velmi neefektivn\u011b. Spot\u0159eboval obrovsk\u00e9 mno\u017estv\u00ed uhl\u00ed a nebyl p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 praktick\u00fd. Wattovi to nedalo sp\u00e1t!<br \/>\nPo letech experimentov\u00e1n\u00ed p\u0159i\u0161el na geni\u00e1ln\u00ed \u0159e\u0161en\u00ed: odd\u011blil kondenz\u00e1tor (kde se p\u00e1ra ochlazuje) od hlavn\u00edho v\u00e1lce. T\u00edm p\u00e1dem se hlavn\u00ed v\u00e1lec nemusel st\u00e1le oh\u0159\u00edvat a ochlazovat, co\u017e u\u0161et\u0159ilo a\u017e 75% paliva! Vyvinul tak\u00e9 regul\u00e1tor v\u00fdkonu, syst\u00e9m pro pr\u00e1ci s p\u00e1rou a p\u0159evodov\u00fd syst\u00e9m.<\/p>\n<h3>Ko\u0148sk\u00e1 s\u00edla jako marketing g\u00e9nia<\/h3>\n<p>Aby vysv\u011btlil \u00fa\u010dinnost sv\u00fdch motor\u016f, vymyslel pojem \u201eko\u0148sk\u00e1 s\u00edla&#8220; (horsepower). Jednoduch\u00fdm srovn\u00e1n\u00edm uk\u00e1zal, kolik pr\u00e1ce jeho parn\u00ed stroj zvl\u00e1dne oproti koni. Jedna ko\u0148sk\u00e1 s\u00edla odpov\u00edd\u00e1 550 foot-pound\u016f za sekundu, nebo 746 watt\u016f.<\/p>\n<h3>Ot\u00e1\u010dkom\u011br \u2013 prvn\u00ed \u201etachometr&#8220; historie<\/h3>\n<p>Watt vytvo\u0159il prvn\u00ed ot\u00e1\u010dkom\u011br neboli tachometr v roce 1800. Vyvinul ho pro m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed rychlosti ot\u00e1\u010den\u00ed h\u0159\u00eddele u sv\u00fdch parn\u00edch stroj\u016f a brzy se pou\u017e\u00edval u r\u016fzn\u00fdch parn\u00edch lokomotiv.<\/p>\n<h2>Vyn\u00e1lezy, o kter\u00fdch mo\u017en\u00e1 nev\u00ed\u0161<\/p>\n<h2>\n<h3>Kop\u00edrovac\u00ed stroj \u2013 prad\u011bde\u010dek kop\u00edrky<\/h3>\n<p>Watt tak\u00e9 vynalezl p\u0159enosn\u00fd kop\u00edrovac\u00ed stroj. Byl to p\u0159edch\u016fdce kop\u00edrovac\u00edch stroj\u016f. Origin\u00e1ln\u00ed dopis se napsal speci\u00e1ln\u00edm koncentrovan\u00fdm inkoustem a pomoc\u00ed lisu se obsah p\u0159enesl na kopii. Dopis napsan\u00fd speci\u00e1ln\u00edm \u017eelatinov\u00fdm inkoustem se polo\u017eil na hedv\u00e1bn\u00fd pap\u00edr a v\u00e1le\u010dkem se na n\u011bj p\u0159en\u00e1\u0161ela zrcadlov\u00e1 kopie, kterou pak \u0161lo \u010d\u00edst z druh\u00e9 strany.<\/p>\n<p>Tento vyn\u00e1lez byl tak u\u017eite\u010dn\u00fd, \u017ee ho pou\u017e\u00edval i George Washington pro kop\u00edrov\u00e1n\u00ed sv\u00e9 korespondence!<\/p>\n<h3>Stroj na kop\u00edrov\u00e1n\u00ed soch<\/h3>\n<p>Watt vynalezl a zkonstruoval stroje pro kop\u00edrov\u00e1n\u00ed soch a medail\u00ed, kter\u00e9 fungovaly velmi dob\u0159e, ale nikdy je nepatentoval. Jednu z prvn\u00edch soch, kterou s t\u00edmto strojem vytvo\u0159il, byla mal\u00e1 hlava jeho star\u00e9ho profesora a p\u0159\u00edtele Adama Smitha.<\/p>\n<h2>Dal\u0161\u00ed technick\u00e9 inovace<\/h3>\n<p>V roce 1781 vynalezl rota\u010dn\u00ed parn\u00ed stroj, kter\u00fd se dal pou\u017e\u00edt pro \u0161ir\u0161\u00ed \u0161k\u00e1lu aplikac\u00ed, a dvoj\u010dinn\u00fd motor s p\u00edsty, kter\u00e9 jak tla\u010dily, tak t\u00e1hly. Mezi dal\u0161\u00ed vylep\u0161en\u00ed pat\u0159il odst\u0159ediv\u00fd regul\u00e1tor pro \u0159\u00edzen\u00ed rychlosti motoru.<\/p>\n<h2>V\u011bdeck\u00e9 uzn\u00e1n\u00ed<\/h2>\n<p>Wattovy p\u0159\u00edsp\u011bvky k v\u011bd\u011b a pr\u016fmyslu byly tak v\u00fdznamn\u00e9, \u017ee v roce 1785 byl zvolen \u010dlenem Kr\u00e1lovsk\u00e9 spole\u010dnosti v Lond\u00fdn\u011b. Kv\u016fli jeho p\u0159\u00edsp\u011bvk\u016fm k v\u011bd\u011b a pr\u016fmyslu byla jednotka v\u00fdkonu watt v mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed soustav\u011b jednotek pojmenov\u00e1na po n\u011bm.<\/p>\n<h2>Fakta, kter\u00e1 t\u011b mo\u017en\u00e1 p\u0159ekvap\u00ed<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Nevynalezl parn\u00ed stroj! Ten existoval u\u017e p\u0159ed n\u00edm, ale Watt ho zdokonalil natolik, \u017ee se stal prakticky vyu\u017eiteln\u00fdm.<\/li>\n<li>Miloval hudbu a dokonce si s\u00e1m vyr\u00e1b\u011bl hudebn\u00ed n\u00e1stroje.<\/li>\n<li>Trp\u011bl depresemi a psychick\u00fdmi probl\u00e9my, ale nikdy se nevzdal pr\u00e1ce na sv\u00fdch n\u00e1padech.<\/li>\n<li>Byl renesan\u010dn\u00ed osobnost \u2013 nezaj\u00edmala ho jen technika. Studoval filosofii, chemii a psal si pozn\u00e1mky o v\u0161em, co ho zaujalo.<\/li>\n<li>Byl perfekcionista \u2013 jeho pr\u00e1ce s astronomick\u00fdmi p\u0159\u00edstroji ho nau\u010dila neuv\u011b\u0159iteln\u00e9 p\u0159esnosti.<\/li>\n<li>Patentoval sv\u00e9 vyn\u00e1lezy \u2013 z\u00edskal patent na vylep\u0161en\u00fd parn\u00ed stroj v roce 1769 a na kop\u00edrovac\u00ed metodu v roce 1780.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Watt\u016fv odkaz<\/h2>\n<p>James Watt nejen revolu\u010dn\u011b vylep\u0161il parn\u00ed stroj, ale polo\u017eil z\u00e1klady pro celou pr\u016fmyslovou revoluci.
