B\u00fdv\u00e1 ozna\u010dov\u00e1n jako otec modern\u00ed v\u011bdy, proto\u017ee m\u00edsto slep\u00e9 d\u016fv\u011bry autorit\u00e1m za\u010dal pozorovat, m\u011b\u0159it a zpochyb\u0148ovat. Jeho otec byl hudebn\u00edk a matematik, a mo\u017en\u00e1 pr\u00e1v\u011b od n\u011bj zd\u011bdil zv\u00eddavost a l\u00e1sku k logice. Nejprve studoval medic\u00ednu, ale rychle zjistil, \u017ee ho v\u00edc ne\u017e lidsk\u00e9 t\u011blo zaj\u00edm\u00e1 pohyb kyvadla a padaj\u00edc\u00edch p\u0159edm\u011bt\u016f. U\u017e jako mlad\u00fd student na univerzit\u011b pozoroval lustr houpaj\u00edc\u00ed se v katedr\u00e1le a polo\u017eil si ot\u00e1zku: \u201ePro\u010d se h\u00fdbe tak pravideln\u011b?\u201c Tak za\u010dala jeho celo\u017eivotn\u00ed cesta v\u011bdeck\u00e9ho zkoum\u00e1n\u00ed.<\/p>\n<h2>U\u010ditel, kter\u00fd inspiroval<\/h2>\n<p>Ve sv\u00fdch dvaceti letech se Galileo pustil do u\u010den\u00ed matematiky a pozd\u011bji se stal profesorem v Pise a Padov\u011b. Ale nebyl to jen nudn\u00fd p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161ej\u00edc\u00ed! Naopak \u2013 miloval praktick\u00e9 uk\u00e1zky a p\u0159em\u00fd\u0161len\u00ed \u201eco by se stalo, kdyby\u2026\u201c. Jeho p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161ky byly pln\u00e9 pokus\u016f, ot\u00e1zek a nov\u00fdch pohled\u016f na sv\u011bt. Vym\u00fd\u0161lel modely pohybu, p\u0159\u00edstroje na m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed \u010dasu i experimenty s naklon\u011bnou rovinou, aby uk\u00e1zal, jak v\u011bci skute\u010dn\u011b funguj\u00ed \u2013 ne jen jak se o nich mluvilo v knih\u00e1ch.<\/p>\n<p>Galileo v\u011b\u0159il, \u017ee v\u011bda m\u00e1 b\u00fdt srozumiteln\u00e1 a \u017ee pozn\u00e1n\u00ed nen\u00ed jen pro vyvolen\u00e9. Jeho styl v\u00fduky i odvaha kl\u00e1st ot\u00e1zky dodnes inspiruj\u00ed u\u010ditele a studenty po cel\u00e9m sv\u011bt\u011b.<\/p>\n<h2>Kopern\u00edk m\u011bl pravdu!<\/h2>\n<p>Galileo nebyl prvn\u00ed, kdo tvrdil, \u017ee Zem\u011b ob\u00edh\u00e1 kolem Slunce \u2013 s touto p\u0159evratnou my\u0161lenkou p\u0159i\u0161el u\u017e Mikul\u00e1\u0161 Kopern\u00edk. Ale pr\u00e1v\u011b Galileo ji jako jeden z prvn\u00edch podpo\u0159il d\u016fkazy z\u00edskan\u00fdmi pomoc\u00ed dalekohledu. Kdy\u017e pozoroval f\u00e1ze Venu\u0161e a m\u011bs\u00edce Jupitera, do\u0161lo mu, \u017ee Kopern\u00edk m\u011bl pravdu. To byl v t\u00e9 dob\u011b odv\u00e1\u017en\u00fd postoj \u2013 \u0161lo toti\u017e proti tomu, co u\u010dila c\u00edrkev. Galileo se tak stal nejviditeln\u011bj\u0161\u00edm zast\u00e1ncem heliocentrismu, co\u017e ho sice dostalo do pot\u00ed\u017e\u00ed, ale z\u00e1rove\u0148 mu zajistilo m\u00edsto v u\u010debnic\u00edch fyziky i d\u011bjin\u00e1ch v\u011bdy.<\/p>\n<h2>V\u011bdec pod dohledem c\u00edrkve<\/h2>\n<p>M\u00e1lokdo v\u00ed, \u017ee Galileo nebyl v\u017edy nep\u0159\u00edtelem c\u00edrkve \u2013 pr\u00e1v\u011b naopak. V ml\u00e1d\u00ed m\u011bl velmi bl\u00edzk\u00e9 vztahy s jezuity a dokonce byl v oblib\u011b u pape\u017ee Urbana VIII., kter\u00fd ho zpo\u010d\u00e1tku podporoval. Probl\u00e9m nastal, kdy\u017e Galileo vydal svou knihu Dialog o dvou nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edch syst\u00e9mech sv\u011bta, kde argumentoval pro Kopern\u00edk\u016fv heliocentrick\u00fd model. Jeden z postav, kter\u00e1 zast\u00e1vala \u201ezastaral\u00fd\u201c geocentrick\u00fd pohled, pr\u00fd p\u0159ipom\u00ednala samotn\u00e9ho pape\u017ee \u2013 a ten to nesl velmi nelib\u011b.<\/p>\n<p>Galileo tak nakonec skon\u010dil p\u0159ed inkvizic\u00ed, kde musel sv\u00e9 n\u00e1zory odvolat, i kdy\u017e v soukrom\u00ed jim z\u016fstal v\u011brn\u00fd. A p\u0159esto \u2013 nedostal trest smrti, ale dom\u00e1c\u00ed v\u011bzen\u00ed ve vile pobl\u00ed\u017e Florencie. Na tehdej\u0161\u00ed pom\u011bry \u0161lo t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 o \u201eluxusn\u00ed trest\u201c, mo\u017en\u00e1 pr\u00e1v\u011b d\u00edky d\u0159\u00edv\u011bj\u0161\u00edm vazb\u00e1m na mocn\u00e9. I kdy\u017e nesm\u011bl ve\u0159ejn\u011b publikovat ani u\u010dit, neztr\u00e1cel \u010das. Usadil se ve sv\u00e9 vile v Arcetri nedaleko Florencie, kde \u017eil pod dohledem a\u017e do sv\u00e9 smrti v roce 1642. P\u0159esto\u017ee m\u011bl omezen\u00e9 mo\u017enosti, st\u00e1le pracoval \u2013 napsal zde sv\u00e9 nejv\u00fdznamn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed d\u00edlo z oblasti mechaniky \u2013 Rozpravy a matematick\u00e9 rozpravy o dvou nov\u00fdch v\u011bd\u00e1ch. V n\u011bm shrnul v\u00fdsledky sv\u00fdch celo\u017eivotn\u00edch pokus\u016f o pochopen\u00ed pohybu t\u011bles a pevnosti materi\u00e1l\u016f.<\/p>\n<p>I kdy\u017e jeho texty byly v It\u00e1lii zak\u00e1z\u00e1ny, poda\u0159ilo se mu je pa\u0161ovat do zahrani\u010d\u00ed, kde vy\u0161ly tiskem v Holandsku. Galileo tak z\u016fstal aktivn\u00ed v\u011bdec a\u017e do konce \u017eivota \u2013 i kdy\u017e \u010d\u00e1ste\u010dn\u011b oslepl, nikdy neztratil zv\u00eddav\u00e9ho ducha.<\/p>\n<section>\n<h2>\ud83d\udd27 Galileovy vyn\u00e1lezy a vylep\u0161en\u00ed<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dalekohled (refraktor):<\/strong> Vylep\u0161il p\u016fvodn\u00ed holandsk\u00fd n\u00e1vrh \u2013 jeho verze zv\u011bt\u0161ovala a\u017e 20\u00d7. D\u00edky tomu mohl pozorovat Jupiterovy m\u011bs\u00edce, f\u00e1ze Venu\u0161e i detaily M\u011bs\u00edce.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Termoskop:<\/strong> P\u0159edch\u016fdce teplom\u011bru \u2013 ukazoval zm\u011bny teploty pomoc\u00ed kapaliny v trubici, je\u0161t\u011b bez stupnice.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sklon\u011bn\u00e1 rovina:<\/strong> Jednoduch\u00fd experiment\u00e1ln\u00ed n\u00e1stroj pro zkoum\u00e1n\u00ed pohybu a zrychlen\u00ed \u2013 umo\u017enil l\u00e9pe porozum\u011bt gravita\u010dn\u00edm z\u00e1konitostem.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kyvadlo jako \u010dasom\u00edra:<\/strong> Pozorov\u00e1n\u00ed pravideln\u00e9ho pohybu kyvadla ho inspirovalo k n\u00e1vrhu kyvadlov\u00fdch hodin (byly sestaveny a\u017e po jeho smrti).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sektor (v\u00fdpo\u010detn\u00ed prav\u00edtko):<\/strong> Mechanick\u00fd n\u00e1stroj pro v\u00fdpo\u010dty \u2013 pou\u017e\u00edval se k \u0159e\u0161en\u00ed geometrick\u00fdch \u00faloh, v\u00fdpo\u010dt\u016fm v balistice a dal\u0161\u00edch technick\u00fdch oborech.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vodov\u00e1ha a m\u011b\u0159ic\u00ed p\u0159\u00edstroje:<\/strong> Navrhl n\u011bkolik p\u0159\u00edstroj\u016f pro p\u0159esn\u00e9 m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed \u2013 v\u010detn\u011b p\u0159\u00edstroj\u016f pro ur\u010dov\u00e1n\u00ed hustoty a geometrick\u00fdch m\u011b\u0159en\u00ed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/section>\n<section>\n<h2>\ud83d\udde3\ufe0f Cit\u00e1ty Galilea Galileiho<\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>\n    \u201eA p\u0159ece se to\u010d\u00ed.\u201c  <\/p>\n<footer>\u2013 \u00dadajn\u00e1 slova Galilea po donucen\u00ed odvolat heliocentrismus (1633)<\/footer>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>\n    \u201eNem\u016f\u017ee\u0161 nikoho nau\u010dit nic.
